Born in Munich, Germany in 1965. Educated in London at the Royal College
of Art. After completing his studies in Industrial Design, Grcic worked
closely with Jasper Morrison in London before establishing his own
design studio in Munich. Grcic is widely viewed as one of the most
significant innovators of design in recent years. Although relative
young in age, Grcic has been recognized with a permanent collection
at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Konstantin Grcic is a strong
advocate for simplicity in design and a useful functionality of purpose.
Grcic and his design team have worked closely with Classicon for many
years and have created wonderful additions to the collection including;
Pallas, Mars, Chaos, Apollo, Pandora and the Diana table series.
His viewpoints on design are widely discussed in the International
press and he has received numerous international awards, such as the
Compasso d‚Oro (2001).
